The Paragon Charity were contacted recently by a local Parish Council requesting support for a 75 year old lady living on her own and struggling to meet the day to day challenges and existence. As a follow up the chair of trustees visited the lady and found that the property was in a poor state of repair with damage sustained following a previous abusive relationship. In particular the rear door had been smashed and broken with no way to secure it making this individual extremely vulnerable. A meeting was arranged with Eastern Frames at the property with a view to the charity purchasing a new or used door to be installed.
On seeing the plight of the individual Eastern Frames arranged for the fitting of a new secure door and window to kitchen area as the old unit was in danger of falling out. The amazing thing was that this support was undertaken without charge to either the charity or the individual concerned.
Commenting on the work Darren Boyle Director of Eastern Frames said ” we have always been a supporter of the guy’s at The Paragon Charitable Foundation and when an opportunity came along to provide specialist help we were more than happy to support them in the local community”
Gary Robinson Chair of Trustees for The Paragon Charitable Foundation on thanking the tremendous gesture from Eastern Frames said” it is extremely refreshing to work in conjunction with a company that shares our ethos that business’s can be a force for good in society”
